Last month Maddie and I got to go to Universal for a night and Disney for the weekend (July 14-17th). We stayed at Cabana Bay for a night and went to Islands of Adventure the next morning, went on pteranodon flyers, One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish, ate at Green Eggs and Ham, drank a butterbeer in Hogsmeade Village and shopped for a few treats and souvenirs. We spent the afternoon in the pool at Cabana Bay until our next room was ready. We got to go to Typhoon Lagoon, Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios and we also got to enjoy some of the perks at All-Star Music Resort ๐

This was our last trip to Disney for a few months. We have a lot of stuff happening in the next couple of months, so it’s unrealistic to squeeze a trip in until after the house is done and I’ve closed on it ๐คทโโ๏ธ We had a lot of fun though. I didn’t take as many pics as I usually do, but I was focused on enjoying our time together and being in the moment ๐.
Typhoon Lagoon was perfect for the hot July weather. Maddie LOVED the huge waves in the wave pool, the lazy river and the Ketchakiddie Creek. We got to try the Hei Hei dole whip cone and a mango/habenero/lime dole whip ๐คค๐. Later that night we went over to Epcot and hopped on The Seas with Nemo and grabbed the filet mignon and cheddar cheese soup from the Canada booth just before seeing Harmonious for the first time ๐๐.
The next day went to Magic Kingdom in the morning to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan. We found several hidden Pascal’s over by the Tangled bathroom and shared some lunch from Columbia Harbor House. We went right to Hollywood Studios from Magic Kingdom and we got to ride Slinky Dog Dash and the Alien Swirling Saucers ๐ฅฐ๐๐. The storms started to roll in, so we went to Baseline Taphouse and shared the delicious $10 charcuterie board and watched the rain. I tried to get a Minnie Van back to the hotel because we had bad luck with not getting a seat on the busses and I was exhausted by then. It didn’t work, but we finally got lucky with getting on a very uncrowded bus back to the resort. Once we were back at the resort we got a snack, played in the arcade while the storm passed, then roasted marshmallows by the pool. After the storm was gone Maddie insisted we go swimming and ‘The Princess and the Frog’ was playing on the big screen next to the pool- so cool! We picked up a late dinner right before the food court closed and a super sweet cast member gave Maddie a Mickey cupcake since we wouldn’t be able to come back for a few months ๐ฅฐ๐๐. It was a really nice visit with lots of happy memories added to our adventures ๐ฅฐ๐โค๏ธ.
