Ronto Wraps and Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge

The day after Labor day we headed to Disney. One of the benefits of homeschooling is taking advantage of great resort prices and less crowded parks during the week! I got a last minute reservation at All Star Music for the night after Labor day for $104! (Which is by far the best price I’ve paid for a Disney property resort in well over a year ๐Ÿ˜–). We left Cabana around 11am and got to All Star Music before 11:30. I parked the car and we headed to the bus for Hollywood Studios because I got us lightning lanes for Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

I quickly remembered why I prefer this park in the evening because there is very little shade and it’s still very much summer down here ๐Ÿฅต After seeking out the new loungefly for our friend, we decided to check the walk up wait list for Brown Derby Lounge. We got lucky with a 5 minute wait! We were able to eat at the Brown Derby for the first time without an advanced reservation! I ordered the Cobb Salad and Maddie had the Shrimp Cocktail. Both were absolutely delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคค

I didn’t get the typical text that our room was ready, but around 1530 I checked to see if there was a room number, and there was! We headed back to the resort after we rode Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. We got to the room about 1700 and we both just wanted to chill for a bit. I debated driving to Magic Kingdom that evening to meet up with friends who moved down there about a year ago. I decided to take my chances with the bus since it was about to storm. We made it to Magic Kingdom about 20 minutes before we were going to meet our friends, so we grabbed an ‘I Lava You’ float and pot stickers from Sunshine Tree Terrace ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. The skies looked like they were about to storm, so we went over to the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop where Maddie wanted to get more gems ๐Ÿ’Ž ๐Ÿ˜Š. Our friends surprised us there ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

We got to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Mad Tea Party! We also did a little shopping, got some food from Columbia Harbor House, watched fireworks and went to see if they still had the Alien slushie and candy corn ice cream at Auntie Gravity’s (they didn’t have either ๐Ÿ˜ค) so Maddie got an ice cream cone.

We stopped in the confectionery to see if there were any treats that we needed to bring home, but I didn’t find the popcorn I wanted. By that time, it was later than we planned on staying so we made our way to the exit ๐Ÿ˜•. Maddie and I made it to the bus before it left and I was able to mobile order us dinner for the room. When we got back to the hotel I had to move my car closer to our room after we grabbed our food. By then we had walked about 25,000 steps (and Maddie only used the stroller at the start and end of Hollywood Studios!) So we were both EXHAUSTED! Maddie didn’t want to leave the next morning, but we were both tired and SORE from doing so much in 2 days, so it was for the best that it was a short trip!
